How much will my image be compressed?

Compression ratio depends on the source image and settings. Typical web images see 30–70% size reduction at quality 74 (the default). The result card shows the exact before/after sizes so you can judge the trade-off.

Should I strip metadata?

Stripping EXIF and other metadata reduces file size and removes potentially sensitive data (GPS coordinates, device info). Enable it for web images. Disable it if you need to preserve copyright or color profile information.

What is the Max Width option for?

It resizes the image down to the specified width while maintaining aspect ratio, then compresses it. This is useful when you want to reduce both dimensions and file size in one step. Set it to 0 to skip resizing.
