Does the image upload to the server?

No. Detection, slicing, transparent background processing, and ZIP packaging all run locally in your browser. The image is not sent to the 100tools server.

What images work best with auto detection?

Auto detection works best for sticker sheets, icon sheets, grids, and AI asset sheets with a solid or nearly solid background. Use grid or fixed-size mode for complex backgrounds.

Why is JPEG hidden when transparency is on?

JPEG does not support alpha transparency. When transparent background is enabled, the tool offers PNG and WebP only; disable transparency to export JPEG.
